COURSE DESCRIPTIONS

Disciplines of a Godly Woman

This 10-week growth group is designed to help women cultivate biblical spiritual disciplines while building authentic relationships with one another. Using Disciplines of a Godly Woman by Barbara Hughes as our foundation, participants will explore what it means to pursue Christ wholeheartedly through prayer, God’s Word, stewardship, service, purity, contentment, and intentional discipleship.

More than a book study, this group is intended to create a safe environment where women can grow spiritually, encourage one another, ask honest questions, and apply biblical principles to everyday life. Throughout the course, we hope to incorporate testimonies, guest speakers, and meaningful discussion to help participants connect Scripture to their personal faith journey.

The goal is for each woman to leave not only with a deeper relationship with Christ but also equipped to influence and disciple others within the church, their families, workplaces, and communities.

Better Together: Building & Maintaining Healthy Love Relationships

This couples' course will be an open dialogue aimed at participants learning more practical ways to improve communication, strengthen partnerships, gain better introspective understanding about oneself (strengths and challenges) to grow their intimate relationships. We will engage in relationship-building dialogues, take part in couple-enriching activities, and combine modern day issues with scriptural instruction about relationships.

Be Anxious for Nothing: Christianity & Anxiety

Life can often feel like a struggle between faith and fear. In this 10-week study, we'll explore Strength in the Struggle by Lauren Ibach and take an honest look at anxiety through the lens of Scripture. Open to all adults, this group will encourage meaningful conversation, biblical truth, and practical hope for those navigating the tension between Christianity and anxiety.

Sew Blessed

This growth group is designed for anyone interested in learning to sew or improving their sewing skills. Participants will practice basic hand-stitching techniques and gain confidence with their skills and potentially using a sewing machine. No prior experience is needed, just a willingness to create and enjoy the process.

Journey to Authentic Living

Growing into the fullness of God as a community - healing one soul at a time.

The Eight Prayer Watches:

Throughout Scripture, God often moved in significant ways during specific times of the day and night. These biblical “prayer watches” reveal opportunities to seek God’s presence, hear His voice, intercede for others, and grow in spiritual discernment.

This ten-week Growth Group will introduce participants to the Eight Prayer Watches and their biblical foundations while helping them develop a richer, more intentional prayer life. We will explore how each watch has unique spiritual significance and how believers can align their prayers with God’s purposes throughout the day.

This course is designed for both those who are new to prayer and seasoned believers who desire to deepen their walk with Christ. Each session combines biblical teaching, practical application, discussion, and guided prayer experiences that participants can immediately incorporate into their daily lives.

The Current: A Moving Meditation on Psalm 46

The Current is a ten-week health & wellness growth group designed to help participants care for their whole selves—body, mind, and spirit. Inspired by Psalm 46, each session combines Scripture, gentle movement, breath practices, and guided reflection to reduce stress, improve mobility, cultivate emotional resilience, and deepen awareness of God's presence in everyday life.

Participants will learn practical tools they can use throughout the week to navigate stress, improve flexibility and balance, sleep more restfully, strengthen emotional resilience, and respond to life's demands with greater steadiness and peace. All movements may be completed seated or standing, making the course accessible to a wide range of ages and abilities.

The Making of a Slave; The Healing from Beyond the Grave

We will discuss how ingrained the slave mindset is in society and how to actively combat it with community and communion with Christ.

Equipping the Saints; I & II Timothy, and Titus

Timothy and Titus were spiritual sons of the Apostle Paul who he immersed in all the occasions of ministry with advice and counsel on the journey they were experiencing. It was in the second letter that Paul wrote to Timothy that he requested a visit before he was beheaded. This Growth Group is for any serious explorer of scripture. Diversity of age groups is welcome to enhance the depth of the exploration. The texts are approached through a dialogical exploration based on a model of inquiry/exegesis that forces the explorer to struggle with the text and to critically analyze the text, formulating the results of the God conversation that takes place in that analysis.

Marriage Be Hard: Lessons for a Young Marriage

How young married couples can learn to be healthy when marriage gets hard and remain healthy when marriage is easy. Ask questions of seasoned married couples on subjects, as well.
